Job Description – HIL Developer
As a HIL Developer, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining cutting-edge Hardware In The Loop (HIL) test environments that are crucial for validating software in our next-generation vehicle projects. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of HIL test setups, ensuring they are optimized for accuracy and efficiency. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work in a highly innovative environment where problem-solving and continuous improvement are at the forefront.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain HIL test environments that combine vehicle simulators with real hardware components to emulate real-world vehicle dynamics.
- Implement and deploy software on core computing platforms, ensuring robust performance and stability.
- Create models and simulations using Matlab and Simulink to support various testing scenarios.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and frameworks to support Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver solutions that meet project goals.
- Participate in the evaluation and integration of new tools and technologies to enhance HIL testing capabilities.

Your Skills and Experience
Mandatory Requirements:
- M.Sc or B.Sc in Electronics, Physics, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working with dSPACE HIL rigs, including tools like ControlDesk and ConfigurationDesk.
- Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink for modeling and simulation.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages such as Python or CAPL.
- Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols, such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet.
- Strong understanding of real-time systems and embedded software development.
- Fluency in English, with the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
Meritorious/Good to have:
- Knowledge of alternative HIL systems, such as NI VeriStand or Vector VT System.
- Experience with automotive standards and protocols, including ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, and MISRA.
- Familiarity with sensor technologies and perception systems, such as radar, lidar, and camera systems.
- Experience in vehicle dynamics, electric/hybrid vehicles, or autonomous driving systems.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Scrum teams.
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments and virtual HIL setups.
