Job Description – Tech Project Manager
As an experienced Tech Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex technology projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, designers, and quality assurance professionals, to ensure project objectives are met within the defined scope, budget, and timeline. Some of your responsibilities may include:
- Lead the end-to-end project management lifecycle, from project initiation to delivery, ensuring adherence to best practices, methodologies, and project governance standards.
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, defining project goals, deliverables, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Drive effective collaboration and communication among internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring everyone is aligned on project objectives and progress.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively resolving issues to prevent delays or setbacks.
- Monitor and control project scope, schedule, and budget, making necessary adjustments as needed.
- Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting project progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying areas for enhancing project management processes, tools, and methodologies.
Who are you?
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in managing and delivering complex technology projects, preferably in software development.
- Strong understanding of traditional project management techniques as well as Agile methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall) and tools like JIRA, Confluence, etc.
- Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams and driving project success.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certifications are highly desirable.
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal) is required. Swedish language proficiency is a plus.
